Job summary

Dollar Tree in Brooklyn Park, MN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help organize merchandise from delivery to floor, assist in payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention, and help supervise and develop store associates.

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Retail store management experience is preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform duties requiring standing and walking.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and supervise/store associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness (bathrooms, floors, trash) and restock as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
