Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist/Pulmonary Function Technologist to support the PFT labs at Foxboro Patriot Place with potential cross-coverage at main campus and satellites.

The role involves conducting both simple and complex pulmonary testing, ABG punctures, and collaboration with IT/clinical staff; familiarity with Epic is beneficial and patient education is expected.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts license as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• AS in Respiratory Therapy minimum, BS preferred.
• 1-3 years’ experience preferred, will consider recent graduates.
• BLS certification required, ACLS desired.

Responsibilities

• Complies with department, TJC and DPH standards.
• Performs Pulmonary Function Tests and arterial blood gas punctures.
• Assists with development/revision of PFT Lab Policies and Procedures.
• Schedules for all PFT-related areas including main and satellite labs.
• Performs tests and documents/reports results.
• Explains procedures to patients and addresses concerns.
