Job summary

Quinsigamond Community College seeks an Adjunct Respiratory Care Laboratory Assistant in Worcester, MA to support hands-on lab instruction and student skill development across the Respiratory Care curriculum.

The role involves assisting faculty during labs, guiding students in respiratory care techniques, and maintaining a safe, organized learning environment. Prior RRT and licensure in MA are preferred; strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care with 5+ years of experience or equivalent in Respiratory Care in a full-service healthcare setting.
• Massachusetts license in Respiratory Care with NBRC RRT credential.
• Master's degree and advanced credentials such as RPFT/ACCS/NPS/SDS; active membership in AARC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty with instruction and supervision during respiratory care laboratory sessions.
• Support students during hands-on practice of respiratory care procedures and clinical skills.
• Demonstrate infection-control practices, patient safety, and professional behaviors.
• Assist students with operation and application of respiratory care equipment.
• Support lab activities involving ventilation, airway management, oxygen therapy, and related procedures.
• Assist with simulation and clinical scenario activities.
• Assist faculty during student skills practice and competency assessments.
• Provide constructive feedback aligned with program expectations.
• Assist with laboratory equipment setup, breakdown, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with faculty to ensure continuity between classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical instruction.
• Maintain a safe, professional, inclusive learning environment.
