Qualifications

• Associate Degree; AND must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist ( RRT ); AND minimum of 6 years’ experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist; AND current license or eligibility for licensure to practice Respiratory Care in California. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
• Knowledge of and ability to appraise the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
• It is the applicant’s responsibility to provide proof of equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective clinical instruction, consistent with the approved Respiratory Care curriculum, at MJC and the clinical site.
• Assist in the development of lesson plans and student evaluation methods.
• Implement program philosophy, objectives, policies and curriculum.
• Supervise student practice of new skills.
• Informing students of course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance requirements.
