Job summary

St. Leo the Great in San Jose is seeking a Part-time Resource Teacher (approximately 20–25 hours/week) to support the school’s reading and math learning program. You will push into and pull out elementary students and collaborate with staff and parents in a faith-filled Catholic setting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree, with a CA teaching credential or enrollment in a credential program preferred, and experience in Catholic education is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• CA teaching credential preferred.
• Master’s degree in an educational field preferred.
• Experience in Catholic education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement curriculum, instruction, and assessments aligned with standards.
• Support reading and math for elementary students through pull‑out/instruction.
• Collaborate with staff and communicate with parents regularly.
• Promote a faith-filled Catholic environment in words and actions.
• Cover duties such as recess supervision as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and school information.
