Catholic Charities of Long Island seeks a part-time Residential RN to provide care at our Long Island residences in Copiague. The role supports residents with developmental disabilities, monitors health, administers medications, and coordinates with DSPs and managers to maintain safety and well-being.

The ideal candidate holds a NYS RN license, an associate degree (bachelor’s preferred), and a valid NYS driver's license; strong communication and teamwork skills are essential; salary is $50 per

Qualifications

• Current NYS RN licensure.
• Associates Degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience working with the Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled population helpful.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to adjust work schedule according to resident care needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess individuals for signs of acute illness or chronic condition exacerbations.
• Conduct weekly on-site nursing visits to perform health assessments and review records.
• Communicate with medical providers to meet residents' medical needs.
• Perform in-service staff training on medical concerns to ensure continuity of care.
• Ensure safe medication administration per prescriptions and regulations.

Education

Associate's Degree in Nursing

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
