Job summary

Catholic Charities of Long Island operates group homes on Long Island, providing in-person care at multiple sites. We seek Direct Support Professionals to help residents with daily living, safety, and well-being, including driving residents on outings and administering medications, with a focus on dignity and compassion.

The role entails evenings or weekend shifts, full-time or part-time options, and a base pay of $21 per hour plus a weekend differential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License required.
• Ability to perform tasks that may require stooping, crouching, and lifting up to 250 pounds.

Qualifications:

• Valid NYS Driver’s License
• Ability to perform tasks that may require stooping, crouching, and 2-person lifting up to 250 pounds.
• Ability to maintain personal safety and respond appropriately in a calm, non‑confrontational manner during an individual's physical or emotional outburst.

Schedule:

Full-time evening and Part-time, weekend or Early AM opportunities available.

Base Rate of Pay: $21. per hour (Weekend differential pay is an additional $1.00/hr.)

This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation, such as the value of benefits, which may be applicable to this position.
