Job summary

United Counseling Service of Bennington County Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) — Residential at Gatling House in Bennington, Vermont. This part-time role supports individuals in a group home, following ISAs and participating in daily activities to promote independence and well-being.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation. Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook for internal email communication.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Direct service experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct support to individuals and implement ISAs, promoting independence and dignity.
• Assist with daily routines including self-care, money management, meals, social skills, and community activities.
• Accurate recordkeeping: enter data, write progress notes, and complete required documentation.
• Perform housekeeping tasks, shopping, cooking, and vehicle upkeep as part of home management.
