Integral Care seeks a Residential Care Assistant (RCA) to supervise residents at a 24-hour transitional shelter for homeless veterans. The role emphasizes safety, structure, and rehabilitative activities, with de-escalation and crisis intervention as needed. This part-time, overnight position requires Fridays and Saturdays.

A High School Diploma or GED is required along with a Texas driver’s license and clean driving record. Prior experience with unhoused individuals or veterans is preferred.

Job Summary:The Residential Care Assistant (RCA) will respond to all issues related to the provision of a low demand, 24 hour transitional shelter for homeless veterans. The primary purpose of the position is to supervise residents in order to maintain appropriate structure and safety with some ability to perform rehabilitative client care work. Activities will be directed toward providing a safe therapeutic environment where residents can establish a trusting relationship with each other, the staff and the program. Position requires staff to monitor clients, enforce facility rules, manage client behaviors, de-escalate clients who are upset, intervene in crises, engage clients in social and developmental activities. The RCA works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

License

• Current and valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record.

Experience

Preferred

• At least1 year working with unhoused individuals, 1 year working with Veterans.

Hours: Part-Time.

Workhours:Overnight.

Workdays:Friday and Saturday.

Salary: $22.15 an hour,plus an additional 10% crisis stipend.

Position may be eligible for an additional shift differential pay.

• Second Shift: $3.25/hour.
• Third Shift: $7.25/hour.
