Distinctive Living in Tinton Falls, NJ, is seeking a Part Time Cook for Mira Vie. This role supports the Restaurant and Hospitality Department and is responsible for the quality of meals, service during meals, and adherence to the community's special diets.

The position reports to the Director of Restaurant and Hospitality and requires ensuring food safety, proper portioning, and resident satisfaction during dining times. A professional kitchen environment and teamwork culture are highlighted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in food service required.
• Minimum of three years' experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Cook position works under the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality and supports all activities of the Restaurant and Hospitality Department and Dining Room.
• Responsible for quality of meals served and quality of service during meal service.
• Ensure compliance with special diets offered by the community.
• Plan, direct, and coach in the Food Service Department with the Director.
• Follow the Menu Program that meets nutritional requirements and approved buying practices.
• Respond to resident likes and dislikes to maintain high resident satisfaction.
• Maintain food temperatures and time controls; ensure food safety standards.
• Ensure staff provides good resident experiences during meal times.
• Maintain a clean kitchen and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
