Job summary

Distinctive Living is seeking a part-time Cook for Mira Vie at Tinton Falls, NJ. The Cook supports the Restaurant and Hospitality Department, ensuring quality meals, service, and adherence to special diets, under the Director of Restaurant and Hospitality.

The position emphasizes safe food handling, maintaining temperatures, and collaborating with team members to deliver positive resident dining experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in food service required.
• Minimum of three years' experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality with planning, directing, and coaching in the Food Service Department.
• Follows the Menu Program that meets nutritional requirements and adheres to special diets.
• Maintains food temperatures and safe handling practices during all stages of service.
• Ensures staff delivers good resident experiences during meal times and circulates to gauge preferences.
• Keeps a clean kitchen and storage areas, following health department standards.
