Job Description and Requirements:

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing corn seeds for machine planting at the agronomy farm.
  • Assisting with planting, crop management, and following agronomic practices.
  • Collecting plant data from seed germination to maturity.
  • Collecting samples for PCR-based genotyping.
  • Performing crosses and selfings of selected plants.
  • Harvesting and sending samples for analysis.
  • Managing seed collection, drying, storage, and cataloguing.

This position requires operating a motor vehicle. A valid US driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check are required, along with standard background checks.
