JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS:

Responsibilities include:

  1. Prepare corn seeds for machine planting at the agronomy farm.
  2. Assist in planting, crop management, and follow agronomic practices.
  3. Collect plant data from germination to maturity.
  4. Collect samples for PCR-based genotyping in the lab.
  5. Perform crosses and selfings of selected plants.
  6. Harvest and send samples for analysis.
  7. Manage seed collection, drying, storage, and cataloguing.

This position requires operating a motor vehicle. A valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check are required, along with standard background checks.
