Job summary

Harvard University’s Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Research Assistant IV Non-Lab (Research Project Coordinator) to support daily operations, manage tasks for funded projects, and serve as liaison across departments. The role contributes to a program spanning private foundations, public health agencies, and university sources.

You will coordinate activities, assist with literature reviews, monitor progress, prepare reports, and help develop manuscripts and outreach

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience is required; a combination of education and experience may be considered
• Experience in an academic or research environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Provide project-specific support to assist Dr. Williams’ research activities
• Assist with literature reviews to inform study implementation and manuscript preparation
• Monitor overall study progress and assist with preparing annual and final progress reports
• Schedule and attend all research team meetings
• Assist with preparing the study’s scientific manuscripts and resource materials for the study website
• Draft, edit and prepare correspondence, reports and other materials using word processing, spreadsheets and/or databases
• Support smooth day-to-day flow of communications and outreach for program activities with internal team members and external partners
• Exercise independent judgement to resolve logistical, technical, and conceptual challenges that arise in carrying out project objectives
• Perform other duties as assigned
