Job summary

Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is seeking Part-Time Undergraduate Research Student Assistants to work on the CREST grant under the supervision of Dr. Zahra Sotoudeh.

Responsibilities include data mining, simulations, and contributing to the Digital Factory for the IME Smart Manufacturing Lab’s Intelligent Factory goal. Ideal candidates are enrolled in Cal Poly Pomona STEM majors, have MATLAB and Python skills, and are eager to learn and collaborate.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MATLAB and Python.
• Interest in applying machine learning in engineering.
• Currently enrolled in Cal Poly Pomona STEM majors.
• Knowledge of Dynamics.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Data mining at the IME Smart Manufacturing Lab (experimental work).
• Creating a simulation for different robots in the IME Smart Lab.
• Creating the Digital Factory of IME Smart Manufacturing.
• Experimental verification.
• Synergy with other subprojects.
• Availability to dedicate 20 hours per week during academic semesters and summer for research.
• Ability to work independently and with the team.
