JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS

The Patterson Lab is seeking to hire a Part-Time Research Assistant. Responsibilities include maintaining laboratory supplies and equipment, assisting with molecular biology and biochemistry experiments, and demonstrating experience in:

1. General laboratory skills
2. Genotyping transgenic mice
3. Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and gel electrophoresis
4. Biochemical analyses such as Western blot, RNA and DNA isolation, quantitative real-time PCR
5. Data manipulation, statistical analysis, and creating figures for research publications
