JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Management and Organization Department in the Smeal College of Business seeks to hire a research assistant (RA) to support faculty on various research projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Qualitative analysis of the core values of Marriott International across source materials such as biographies, archival documents, newspapers, blogs, and social media posts.
  • Thematic coding and discourse analysis of source materials.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field completed or in progress.
  • Ability to analyze large text corpora and identify themes.
  • Preferred: Experience with qualitative data analysis, discourse analysis, historical analysis, semantic analysis, etc.
