Job summary

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Glenview, IL seeks a part-time Religious Education Events Coordinator to organize and execute religious education events. The role oversees logistics for sacramental celebrations, retreats, meetings, weekly sessions and seasonal programs.

Under the Director of Religious Education, the Events Coordinator manages schedules, facilities, supplies, hospitality, volunteers, communications, setup and event prep with initiative and sound judgment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience coordinating events, educational programs, parish ministries, or related work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Strong organization, project management, time management and communication.
• Ability to complete electronic payroll timecards and required documents.
• Safe Environment/VIRTUS requirements and background check prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare on-site coordination for Religious Education sessions, meetings and events.
• Maintain event calendars, planning documents, registrations, RSVPs and vendor communications.
• Coordinate with Program Assistant to prepare instructional materials and resources.
• Work with the Director of Religious Education to plan and implement events and seasonal programming.
• Build positive relationships with clergy, staff, catechists, volunteers and families.
• Serve as a welcoming, professional representative of the Religious Education program.
