Qualifications

  • RN with at least one year of RN experience; ICU experience preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in the state; ACLS and BLS/CPR certifications.
  • BSN preferred and ability to work rotating 12‑hour day/night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and titrate infusions (anti-arrhythmics, insulin, vasopressors, sedatives, paralytics).
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues and patients; promote safety.
  • Educate patients and families using adult learning principles; document care.
  • Participate in governance, quality improvement, and lifelong learning.

  • Sign-On Bonus: $7,500 for experienced nurses with more than one year of RN experience
  • Registered Nurses: Part-Time position available for RN's with at least one year of RN experience, ICU experience preferred
  • Rotating two 12-hour day/night shifts a week
  • Unit: Surgical ICU

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • ACLS within 12 months of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state.
  • Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
  • UPMC approved national certification preferred
