Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for a unit or shift.
• Ensures staff assess client health problems and needs; maintain medical records.
• Supervises quality of nursing care for ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients.
• Advises clients on health maintenance or disease prevention; may provide case management.
