Job summary

Planned Parenthood in Roanoke, VA is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to support abortion and reproductive health services. You will provide nursing care in the recovery area, monitor patients, administer medications, and offer non-judgmental care with a focus on patient education.

You must hold a VA license (or compact state), and obtain BLS/ACLS within 90 days. Scheduling includes Thursday and Friday shifts with a total 20 hours or less per week.

Qualifications

• VA RN license (or compact state) required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in recovery room per PPSAT policies and applicable laws.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and give aftercare instructions.
• Educate patients on PPSAT services and reproductive health options.
• Stock recovery area with supplies and maintain logs for controlled substances.
• Ensure accurate and timely charting and documentation.
