Clinical Registered Dietitian Position - Part-time/Hybrid (70% Remote)

Overview: RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is excited to offer an opportunity for a Clinical Registered Dietitian to join our team. This role offers flexibility with a balanced mix of in-person and remote work, ensuring our patients receive excellent care while maintaining work-life harmony.

24-28 hours per week, with 70% remote via telehealth

Flexibility:

Choose your days and hours, with 1 onsite visit per week

Compensation:

$40.00-$45.00 per hour, based on experience

Travel Compensation:

Paid at the same hourly rate for travel time

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for new admissions and quarterly reviews, with more frequent assessments for high-risk residents.
2. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
3. Provide nutrition education and counseling.
4. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other team members.
5. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including CMS and DOH standards.
6. Maintain proper documentation.
7. Monitor residents' weight regularly to identify nutritional or hydration changes.
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
9. Conduct monthly kitchen sanitation audits and document findings.
10. Review and approve menus semi-annually to meet USDA guidelines.
11. Perform other tasks within scope of practice as needed.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field from an accredited program.
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Active Connecticut Dietitian License required.
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Critical thinking and effective plan development.
• Proficiency in general nutrition interventions.
• Familiarity with state survey processes and nutrition care regulations.
• Competency in electronic charting systems.
