Clinical Registered Dietitian Position - Part-time/Hybrid (70% Remote)

Overview: RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is excited to offer an opportunity for a Clinical Registered Dietitian to join our team. This role allows flexibility and a balanced blend of in-person and remote work, ensuring our patients receive the best care while our team enjoys work-life harmony.

Position Details:

• Company: RD Nutrition Consultants LLC
• Facility Type: Skilled Nursing
• Schedule: 24-28 hours per week, 70% completed remotely via telehealth
• Flexibility: Choose your days and hours. 1 onsite visit per week
• Compensation: $40.00-$45.00 per hour, based on experience
• Travel Compensation: Paid at the same hourly rate for travel to and from the facility

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments on new admissions and quarterly thereafter, with more frequent reviews for high-risk residents.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other team members.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including CMS and DOH standards.
• Maintain appropriate documentation.
• Monitor residents' weight regularly to identify nutritional or hydration issues.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Conduct monthly kitchen sanitation audits and recommend corrective actions.
• Review and approve menus semi-annually to meet USDA guidelines.
• Perform other tasks within scope of practice as needed.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field from an accredited program.
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Active Connecticut (CT) Dietitian License required.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Critical thinking ability to assess and develop improvement plans.
• Proficiency in nutrition interventions.
• Familiarity with state survey processes and nutrition regulations.
• Competency in electronic charting systems.
