Job summary

Bon Secours Harbour View Medical Center in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to guide patients, families, and staff on medical nutrition therapy, building relationships with physicians and nurses to support patient satisfaction and quality care.

Starting rate $35/hr, negotiable by experience, minimum 16 hrs/week with growth to 24 hours. Responsibilities include nutritional assessments, education, documenting in medical records, and collaborating on therapeutic diets.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Licensed dietitian as required by state regulations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food and Nutrition or related field.

Responsibilities

• Complete nutritional assessments and provide interventions using evidence-based practices.
• Educate patients, families, nursing, food service, and staff on nutritional needs.
• Document assessments and interventions in the medical record.
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on patients’ nutritional status.
• Manage physician orders for therapeutic diets and supplements.
• Attend patient rounds and support regulatory compliance with nutrition policies.
