Job summary

Alliance Health Center in Meridian, MS seeks a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to lead nutrition services on-site. The role involves conducting assessments, educating patients and families, and supporting the medical nutrition therapy plan. 16 hours per week, starting at $35.00/hour, with an option for 1099 contract.

You'll collaborate with physicians, nurses, and culinary staff to ensure quality care and patient satisfaction while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and state licensure
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or related field
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards
  • Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software

Responsibilities

  • Complete nutrition assessments and follow-ups per facility policies
  • Educate patients and families on nutritional needs and goals
  • Attend patient rounds and inform clinical staff of status changes
  • Educate staff on special diets and review meal plans and substitutions

Job description

Location: Alliance Health Center. Pay Rate: Hourly - Hourly Plan, 35.00 USD. Hourly Work Shift: Morning Shift (United States of America)

We’re looking for a friendly, compassionate, leader to join our culinary team! Guide patients, families, and facility staff on all aspects of medical nutrition therapy to create a healthy and healing environment. Build relationships with physicians and nursing to support patient satisfaction and achieve quality care that meets each patient’s nutritional needs.

Responsibilities

Part-Time Registered Dietitian at Alliance Health Center in Meridian, MS. Option for 1099 Contract Available! On-site work required. Starting rate $35.00/hour (Negotiable based on experience). 16 hours per week.

  • Nutrition Assessments & Follow-Ups

    Complete nutrition assessments and follow-ups for individuals with increased nutritional needs in accordance with facility policies. Document assessment of nutritional goals and/or changes in status in the medical record. Educate individuals and/or their family members on nutritional needs as indicated. Attend patient rounds on assigned floors. Inform nursing and physicians of changes in patient/resident nutritional status. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Clinical Nutrition Manager, Lead Clinical Dietitian, or DFNS.

  • Patient/Resident Satisfaction

    Participate in patient/resident satisfaction programs with culinary and nutrition services. Ensure processes are followed and participate in performance improvements within trouble areas.

  • Patient Services Program Implementation & Maintenance

    Educate staff, nursing, and food service employees on issues regarding special diets or formulas. Review and approve menus, formularies, substitutions, or changes.

Requirements
