Job summary

Elior North America, operating Cura Hospitality, is seeking a Part-Time Casual Registered Dietitian for Parsons, KS. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions to maintain nutritional status, and enhance residents' quality of life. The role is scheduled for 9 hours per week with flexible days.

You’ll educate staff and residents, adhere to professional standards, and collaborate across departments to support dining services and nutrition programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in nutrition (pre-2024) or related field required.
• Master’s in Nutrition or related field required.
• Pass the CDR exam or meet eligibility requirements.
• Complete 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulations for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up nutrition-related procedures and problem-solve dining services.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement programs through development, review, and revision.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced Part-Time Casual Registered Dietitian to our Cura Hospitality team in Parsons, KS. As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals. *** This position will be scheduled 9 hours per week (flexible on day(s) worked during the week) ***

What you'll be doing:

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Compensation Range:

• $33.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience
