Job summary

Elior North America’s Cura Hospitality team in Parsons, KS is seeking a Part-Time Casual Registered Dietitian to assess nutritional needs, implement interventions, and enhance residents’ quality of life at Parsons Presbyterian Manor.

The position is scheduled for 9 hours per week, with flexible days; required qualifications include nutrition degree, CDR exam, licensure, and ongoing CE requirements. Compensation ranges $33.00–$36.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national exam by the CDR or eligible per Academy requirements.
• Completes 75 hours CE every five years using a professional portfolio.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulations.
• Interact with departments to set up procedures/policies related to dining and nutrition.
• Participate in development and review of quality improvement programs.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced Part-Time Casual Registered Dietitian to our Cura Hospitality team in Parsons, KS. As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals. *** This position will be scheduled 9 hours per week (flexible on day(s) worked during the week) ***

What you'll be doing:

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Compensation Range:

• $33.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience
