Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Part-Time Casual Registered Dietitian for Parsons, KS, at Parsons Presbyterian Manor. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and improve quality of life while aligning with patient goals.

This role requires flexible scheduling of 9 hours per week and onsite work. Ideal candidates hold a nutrition degree, CDR eligibility, and state licensure with strong knowledge of care planning and regulatory standards, plus a commitment to nutrition

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) required.
• Master's degree in nutrition or related field.
• Passed CDR exam or eligible per AND.
• Completes 75 hours of CE every 5 years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments and care planning.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients and staff.
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and facility regulations.
• Coordinate with departments to set up procedures and policies for dining and nutrition.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement programs.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced Part-Time Casual Registered Dietitian to our Cura Hospitality team in Parsons, KS. As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals. *** This position will be scheduled 9 hours per week (flexible on day(s) worked during the week) ***

What you'll be doing:

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.

• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.

• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.

• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field

• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.

• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.

• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.

• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.

• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.

• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Compensation Range:

• $33.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience
