Job summary

YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South seeks a part-time Reformer Pilates Instructor for Olive Branch YMCA to lead reformer Pilates group classes in a welcoming environment. Emphasis on control, breath, alignment, and concentration to build strength, stability and flexibility.

Requires CPR/First Aid and Pilates certifications; 1+ year of group exercise teaching is preferred. Responsibilities include scheduling, class promotion, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid, AED, national certification required.
• Pilates Mat and Pilates Reformer certifications required.
• Suspension trainer Pilates and Advanced Reformer experience may be required depending on formats taught.
• At least one year of experience teaching group exercise classes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, uplifting reformer Pilates classes as directed to fulfill YMCA goals.
• Maintain certifications and knowledge of best practices in Pilates.
• Build authentic relationships with members and help connect them to the YMCA.
• Adjust for participants' health and cultural needs; provide constructive feedback.
