Job summary

Wall Township is seeking a Part-Time Recycling Center Attendant to assist with daily operations of the Township Recycling Centers and provide assistance to Township residents with their solid waste and recycling needs. This role requires weekend availability, the ability to work outdoors in all weather, and the performance of physical duties with professionalism and courteous conduct toward residents.

A valid NJ driver’s license is required, and up to 28 hours per week may be scheduled.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid New Jersey driver's license.
• Available to work weekends.
• Able to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Capable of performing the physical duties associated with the position.
• Able to interact professionally with Township residents.
• Previous recycling, public works, or customer service experience is a plus.
• Wall Township residents preferred.
• Provide work history and three references.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with proper placement and disposal of materials.
• Verify residency and ensure vehicles have a valid Township sticker.
• Check inbound materials for chargeable and unacceptable items.
• Price and collect fees for chargeable materials and issue receipts.
• Maintain Recycling Center and grounds in a clean and safe condition.
• Follow Township rules and safety procedures.
