Job summary

City of Hanahan is seeking a Part-Time Recreation & Parks Facility Supervisor to assist Athletic and Program Directors on-site during seasonal activities, about 29.5 hours per week. The role includes supervising scorekeepers and officials, enforcing department rules, preparing venues, and reporting injuries, with a focus on safety and public interaction.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, First Aid/CPR/AED within one year, a valid SC driver’s license, and ability to lift

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and six months of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• First Aid/ CPR, AED certifications/training are required within one year of employment.
• Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility personnel and assume on-site supervision during events.
• Enforce city recreation rules and policies at assigned facility.
• Prepare venues, set up fields, and maintain equipment for safety.
• Open facilities, manage lights, and ensure restrooms are ready for events.
• Report injuries or ejections and coordinate with supervisors as needed.
• Interact with the public in a positive, professional manner.
