Job summary

The Joliet Park District is seeking a part-time Nowell Park Recreation Facility Attendant in Joliet, IL. The role focuses on cleaning and upkeep of the Nowell Park facility under supervision of the Assistant Facility Manager/Recreation Superintendent.

Responsibilities include inspecting rooms and equipment for hazards, performing regular walk-throughs for cleanliness, handling spills and emergencies, and assisting with event setup and teardown.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Assistant Facility Manager/Recreation Superintendent any repairs and supplies needed
• Inspect all rooms, equipment, and supplies for any hazard or safety concerns
• Maintain all records, reports and checklists as requested
• Conduct a walk through every 30 minutes to ensure cleanliness throughout facility
• Clean up any spills, smells, or garbage
• Execute effective emergency procedures as needed
• Maintain pertinent procedures in opening and closing the facility
• Sets up and tear down rooms for events and activities
• Maintain cleanliness outside of the building
• Shovel and salt walks during snow and icy conditions
• Work special events as requested from Facility Manager

Education

Some high school coursework preferred
