Job summary

Recovery Works Healing Center in Dayton, OH is seeking a part-time Driver to provide safe, timely transport for residents to clinical services, employment, appointments, and activities. The role requires a clean driving record, HIPAA knowledge, and CPR/First Aid certification.

You will perform vehicle safety checks and maintain logs, while upholding program policies and professional boundaries. The position is onsite, part-time, with compensation ranging from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of professional or program-related driving experience preferred.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Basic understanding of substance use and mental health treatment environments preferred.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification required, or ability to obtain within designated timeframe.
• Ability to operate a mobile phone and vehicle communication systems.
• Basic documentation and recordkeeping skills related to transportation logs.
• Professional communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
• Comfortable working with both adult and youth residents.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, and professional transportation for residents to services and activities.
• Conduct routine vehicle safety checks and report maintenance promptly.
• Follow traffic laws and agency transportation policies.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness for transport.
• Interact with residents in a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented manner.
• Uphold professional boundaries and program policies during transport.
• Monitor safety or behavioral issues and report concerns.
• Support positive community relations when transporting residents.
• Accurately track mileage, trip logs, and transportation documentation.
• Maintain resident confidentiality under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
• Communicate scheduling needs and delays to staff promptly.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
