Job description

Based in fabulous offices in central London, with a fantastic team, FGS Global is a leading global strategic communication consultancy operating in main business hubs worldwide. To support our growth in London, we are recruiting a Part-Time Receptionist to join our team from 31 March 2025. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact and responsible for providing exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and employees. The Receptionist will support front desk operations, handle administrative tasks, and ensure smooth office functioning.

This role reports to the Office Manager. Working days are Monday to Thursday.

Typical duties include:
  1. Greeting and welcoming visitors professionally and courteously.
  2. Answering, screening, and forwarding phone calls and inquiries, taking messages as needed.
  3. Managing incoming and outgoing mail, including courier services.
  4. Handling meeting room bookings, queries, and requests promptly and courteously.
  5. Providing accurate information in person, via phone, and email.
  6. Liaising with IT regarding technical requirements for meetings.
  7. Assisting with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and photocopying.
  8. Supporting other departments with administrative duties.
  9. Logging and reporting housekeeping and maintenance issues to the Building Management.
  10. Collaborating with the Reception & Hospitality team and assisting with meeting or event bookings, including food orders.
  11. Monitoring and ordering office supplies to maintain inventory.
Necessary attributes include:
  1. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  2. Confidence, enthusiasm, and motivation to deliver excellent service.
  3. Professional and polished demeanor suitable for a corporate environment.
  4. Attention to detail, maintaining high standards in the reception and meeting areas.
  5. Trustworthiness with confidential information.
  6. Ability to work independently and in a team.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
  1. Good GCSEs; A Levels preferred.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. At least 1 year of experience as a Receptionist or similar role.
  4. Good telephone manner and switchboard management.
  5. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
