Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Receptionist to warmly greet patients, collect insurance information, schedule appointments, and support clinicians across multiple locations.

You will work with a friendly team, handle multi-line calls, perform data entry in EHR systems, and help maintain a safe, efficient front-desk environment. Prior medical terminology exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience with medical terminology is a plus.
• Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management.
• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Answering multi-line phones
• Greeting patients and vendors
• Signing patients in and out, obtaining insurance information and any other necessary data
• Data entry into EHR systems.
• Scheduling appointments on the phone and at checkout desks
• Collecting outstanding balances and copays
• Providing patients with support and guidance as needed
• Maintaining safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures.

Summary

Medical Receptionists directly interact with patients collecting and providing information concerning the patients’ medical care. Receptionists also work closely with other staff to ensure effective communication.
