Job summary

Oaknoll Retirement Residence in Iowa City, IA is seeking a friendly part-time Receptionist to manage the front desk, answer calls, handle mail, and assist residents and guests with needs. The role supports a home-like atmosphere and requires courteous, patient service within our CREATE culture.

Anticipated hours are approximately 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, and every other Friday. Wages start at $18.00 per hour with increases for verified experience, plus a generous benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with residents, coworkers, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents, visitors and callers at the front desk.
• Handle incoming/outgoing calls and mail.
• Enforce visitor policies and provide courteous assistance to residents and guests.

With wages starting at $18.00 per hour, and increasing from there with confirmed, verifiable experience, Receptionists at Oaknoll Retirement Residence play a vital role in assisting residents, visitors, and guests who stop at the front desk for help, as well as handling incoming and outgoing calls and mail, and helping to ensure appropriate visitor/guest policies are followed. More than that, they also help to CREATE home for our residents, providing a sense of comfort, reliability, and assurance with informed and patient assistance. Oaknoll is currently seeking a part-time Receptionist! The anticipated hours will be approximately 8am to 2pm, Monday through Thursday, and 8am to 2pm every other Friday. Some holidays may be required.
