Job summary

Sentara Louise Obici Hospital is seeking a part-time outpatient nutrition consultant to meet individuals or groups for nutrition assessment across diabetes, bariatric surgery, sports medicine, malnutrition, and GI. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree (ACEND path if not Dietetics), BLS within 90 days, RD within 6 months, and verification statements for RD applicants.

You will collaborate with providers and participate in community outreach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Level Degree; ACEND-accredited program required if major is not Dietetics.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Verification statements required for candidates awaiting RD credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals or groups in outpatient clinic for nutrition assessment.
• Consult on nutrition for diabetes, bariatric surgery, sports medicine, malnutrition, GI patients.
• Represent Sentara at health fairs, media outreach, and community presentations.
• Collaborate with providers and healthcare team for referrals and clinical data.
