Job summary

Project Enhancement Corporation (PEC) seeks an Adjunct Instructor – Part Time to support DOE training programs across Fort Smith, AR and additional CONUS locations. The role requires delivering instruction, facilitating exercises, and ensuring safety and compliance in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities include serving as an OST training staff member, providing training 100–1000 hours per year, acting as safety officer during qualifications, and coordinating role players.

Qualifications

• Must have mastery of at least 4 of the listed skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Willingness to work directly with customers in a rapidly changing environment and long hours.
• Maintain physical fitness and agility for tasks.
• Ability to travel to locations throughout the CONUS.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Must wear PPE and pass FIT test (Avon C50).
• Ability to meet DOE security clearance requirements (U.S. citizen, DOE L).
• Pre-employment drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an adjunct member of the OST training staff, with responsibility for training DOE and contractor personnel.
• Provide training support as needed. Typical work load is 100-1000 hours per year.
• Serve as Range Safety Officer or Assistant Instructor during Federal Agent weapons qualifications and live fire exercises.
• Serve as opposing force (OPFOR) during tactical training events.
• Serve as exercise controller during tactical training events.
• Complete mandatory training (Basic Instructor Training, Firearms Instructor Course, Controller Course).
• Perform role player or road guard duties as assigned.
