The role requires completing an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, ARRT registration (or eligible with timely recertification), and BLS.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a formal Radiology Technology Program in an AMA Approved facility.
  • Registered by the ARRT or registry eligible and must be registered within 1 year of hire.
  • 1 year of direct patient care work experience preferred.
  • BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Documents patient history on requisition submitted by physician.
  • Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and proof of identity.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
  • Coordinates with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
  • Selects and operates equipment and demonstrates correct positioning.
  • Maintains records as required by departmental standards.
