Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• IEMA Accreditation in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (RT) Certification or Certificate Eligible. For new graduates, ARRT must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by a physician.
• Adheres to infection prevention, isolation and sterile techniques.
• Adheres to ALARA principles to reduce exposure to self and patient.
• Uses proper patient identification and explains procedures to patients.
• Reviews radiographs for quality and reports equipment problems.
• Maintains supplies and equipment cleanliness.
