Part‑Time Radiologic Technology Program Technical Assistant

SUNY Niagara is seeking a part‑time Radiologic Technology Program Technical Assistant to support the Radiologic Technology program within our Nursing & Allied Health Division. The assistant will instruct, supervise, and evaluate laboratory experience, provide lecture demonstrations as needed, and assist in compiling data for program assessment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in college laboratory activities: demonstrate radiographic procedures, guide and assist students, evaluate student performance, conduct image analysis, and supervise the laboratory.
• Report laboratory malfunctions to the program coordinator and maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Handle accidents or incidents in the laboratory by sending affected students to the Wellness Center and informing the Program Coordinator or Division Chairperson promptly.
• Assist in compiling data for the Radiologic Technology Program and College assessment purposes.
• Assume delegated divisional and college duties and responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

Must be able to operate computers, relate to a diverse student population, communicate verbally and in writing, prepare written reports and presentations using technology, perform the physical functions of the position, and work a flexible schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or equivalent.
• Current New York State Department of Health Licensure in radiography.

Desirable Qualifications

• Additional certifications or licensure beyond the requirements.
