Job summary

Halls Family Physicians is seeking a Registered Radiology Technologist (RT)/X-Ray to join their practice. A Tennessee X-ray license and ARRT certification are required. This is a part-time opportunity in Knoxville, TN, with responsibilities including patient preparation, radiographic imaging, and safety compliance.

Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program with CPR certification and six months of related experience preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration active; TN X-ray license required; CPR certification.
• At least six months of related clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures.
• Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, including proper use of shielding equipment, and OSHA requirements.
• Ensures equipment is in working order. Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Processes radiologic logs and other paperwork in a timely, thorough and accurate manner.
• Maintains examination rooms. Stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
• Develops, processes, and / or files radiologic film based on site protocol.
• Assists with other clinical procedures as appropriate.
• Maintains required and appropriate certifications, including radiologic and CPR.
• Maintains strict confidentiality.
• Adheres to all aspects of the corporate compliance plan.
• Performs related tasks as requested by supervisor.
• Prepares equipment to efficiently collect blood specimens.
• Performs venipuncture, arterial and capillary punctures on patients as appropriate.
• Assists in the care of the donor prior to, during, and after the donation.
