Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to support the Diagnostic Radiology team. You will operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality X-ray images and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses and informed patient care.

The role emphasizes safety, patient positioning, clear communication, and compassionate care. You will work 20 hours per week, first shift, 0.5 FTE, and must hold New York licensure and BLS certification,

Qualifications

• License to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of New York.
• Current Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology; or Certification from an approved Radiologic Technologist program and the equivalent of three years of full-time experience.
• Must obtain and maintain BLS within 90 days of appointment.
• Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school or university per Roswell Park standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic X-ray images.
• Work closely with radiologists and clinical teams to ensure accurate imaging results.
• Prepare and position patients safely and comfortably for procedures.
• Explain imaging procedures in a way that helps patients feel at ease.
• Follow safety guidelines to protect patients, yourself, and your team.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and images meet quality standards.
• Contribute to a supportive, patient-centered environment.
