Job summary

Shaw Media in Peru, IL is seeking a Part-Time Radio DJ to represent the station on-air and at community events. The role includes voice tracking, commercial production, and basic audio work, with appearances at remotes and promotional events.

You will record and edit voice-tracked shows, create promos, and maintain the station's vibe while adhering to FCC rules and deadlines. Weekend and evening availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous radio, broadcasting, podcasting, or audio-production experience preferred, but not necessary.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to write and deliver concise, engaging radio copy.
• Basic knowledge of audio editing and production software like Adobe Audition.
• Ability to follow direction while also working independently.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working flexible hours, including occasional weekends and holidays.
• Ability to interact professionally with listeners, clients, and station representatives.
• Experience with radio automation, voice-tracking, and digital audio production software is preferred.
• Familiarity with editing, recording, mixing, file management, and basic audio processing is a plus.

Responsibilities
