The primary function of this position will be to serve as the University Radiation Safety Officer. Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all aspects of the University Radiation Safety Program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and safeguarding users of radioactive materials and radiation devices. Accountable for applicable Radioactive Materials Licenses as authorized by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Acts as the campus technical expert on radiological research projects and leads the University Radiation Safety Committee. Reports to the Sr. Director of Environmental Health and Safety/Risk Management.
The projected salary for this position is $80/hr.
