Job summary

City of Bentonville invites applications for a part-time Recreation Worker: Races and Rides to support the Run Bentonville Race Series, Bentonville Half Marathon and Square 2 Square events. This role assists the Recreation Supervisor with event prep, packet pickup operations, race-day logistics and equipment management.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and ready to work behind the scenes to ensure smooth, safe, and professional events for participants.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Experience with race/event operations preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee packet pickup logistics for all events.
• Assist with race-day course setup and takedown.
• Manage event inventory, packing, transporting, and restocking items.
• Help maintain organized storage of race equipment and supplies.
• Provide general operational support before, during, and after each event as assigned.
• Follow all safety standards and city policies to ensure a safe race environment.
