Idemitsu Lubricants America in Jeffersonville, IN is seeking a Part-Time Lab Assistant intern to support laboratory operations. You will help maintain a clean, organized lab, assist with equipment setup, sample preparation, and basic lubricant testing to keep daily workflows running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and you must be a current college student pursuing a bachelor's in Chemistry or a related field.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current college student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
• 0–2 years laboratory experience (entry level).

Responsibilities

• Lab dishes & dumping samples.
• Care of recycling in the Laboratory.
• Replenishes lab supplies.
• Help with chemical inventory.
• Blending/Filling Schedule – enter into lab batch display, print test sheets and labels.
• Find COA(s) for lab techs or request COA(s).
• Scan and file test sheets, COA(s), obsolete specs, SDSs and other docs.
• Wipe down counters and keep the lab clean.
• Sand copper strips for the laboratory.
• Prepare pentane filters for the laboratory.
• Unpack and label reagents.
• Keep sample room updated by dumping old retained samples and dissolving old powders with base oil.
• General office tasks – laminating, mail, and supplies.
