The Bozeman Police Department is seeking a dedicated and professional Part-Time Police Officer to join our Public Safety team. As a Part-Time Police Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and security of the Municipal Court, the Bozeman Public Safety Center, and law enforcement during special events. Bargaining Unit: Not-Represented.

Fair Labor Standards Act Status: Non-Exempt. Work Week: Two 8 hour shifts, totaling 16 hours per week.

Responsabilités

• Provide presence at court hearings and assist with document handling.
• Control access points to Public Safety Center and courts; perform searches for weapons.
• Maintain visible presence to deter crime and assist the public.
• Work with other officers at events requiring extra staffing.
• Take investigative reports on misdemeanors via the telephone; may travel to scene.
• Perform non-emergency tasks at the Law & Justice Center and Public Safety Center.
• Enforce local, state, and federal laws with coordination with other agencies.
• Provide information and assistance to motorists, pedestrians, and the public.
• Patrol assigned areas; issue warnings or citations as warranted.
• Prepare complete reports and testify in court as required.
