Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance methods and procedures.
• Knowledge of custodial tools, materials and practices.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and routine cleaning.
• Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions.
• Ability to exercise care in using cleaning materials.

Responsibilities

• cleans and maintains public facilities, buildings and structures for public use on a daily basis
• cleans bathrooms, replaces paper products, and empties trash
• empties trash, vacuums floors, cleans rooms and offices
• dusts and cleans windows, walls, hallways, elevators and shelves
• reports unusual circumstances to supervisor
• notifies supervisor of low stock and handles supplies
• maintains regular and predictable attendance
• performs other related duties
