Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to care for employees and dependents at our Burbank, CA Health Center. The role supports orthopaedic/occupational health services with hands-on therapy, patient instruction, and data collection.

The ideal candidate has an PTA associate degree, state license, BLS certification, and at least two years of outpatient PT experience. Benefits include a 401(k) and health programs; position starts May 2027.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from an approved PTA program
• Certified or Licensed as a PTA in the practicing state
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required per contract scope
• Minimum two years’ PTA experience in outpatient orthopedic/occupational health
• Experience in an occupational health clinic preferred
• Knowledge of Internet and spreadsheet software and EMR systems
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations

Responsibilities

• Administers manual therapy exercises, modalities, and traction as prescribed
• Instructs patients in functional activities and ambulation
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatments
• Fits and trains patients in braces, prostheses, and assistive devices
• Collaborates with PT staff and health team to plan care
• Performs clerical duties: inventory, orders, phone/messages
• Measures range of motion and vital signs for evaluations
• Performs other duties as assigned
